| RIAO stands for Red Iberoamericana de Óptica or Rede Iberoamericana d’Óptica (Iberian-American Network for Optics). RIAO’s members are the optics and photonics national societies of most of the Iberian-American countries and since 2014 it is an International Society Member of the International Commission for Optics. RIAO organizes its flagship scientific conference, the RIAO-OPTILAS, every three years since 1992.
